I'm here in Austin (feels like I'm still in la) for the motogp.

What's a must have bbq spot and Mexican food place.

Also since I'm an ffl, what is the gun store around here.

in my opinion for BBQ: Salt Lick (It will be a far drive from Austin but super worth it. Check out the spot in Round Rock, I think that's the closest).

Coming from LA, it's hard to find a bomb mexican food spot since LA is pretty much the best mexican food besides Mexico itself.

I'll be at MotoGP too! Enjoy

County Line isn’t bad, and closer than Salt lick. Hula Hut is good TexMex with a tropical flair.

Not sure about good gun shop.

For BBQ, the best you’ll get in the state is Coopers in Llano. Gotta be the Llano one. Kind of far but nice drive.

mexican, my favorite is taco deli. Cheap fast and best queso on the planet

gun shop McBrides is always fun

BBQ - Smitty's Market in Lockhart about 45 minutes south on 183. Get the pork chop, brisket and hot links.

Gun shop - I always went to McBride's but haven't lived there for ten years so I am sure there are others.

Watering hole - Continental Club if it's open or take a drive into the hill country and go to Dally's Down Under about 9 miles west of Drippin on 290.

Oh yeah, mexican - Try Torchy's Tacos downtown.

If you go to Lockhart you might as well go for the trifecta:

    Smitty’s
    Blacks and
    Kreuz

    That's a lot of meat...

Been to them all and my go to is always Smitty's, even when I lived in Drippin about 15 minutes from the Salt Lick.

Little back story on Kreuz vs Smittys is due to a family feud between siblings after their father passed. Kreuz Market was split due to the feud and Smittys emerged as a new business.

I had a pretty good time at the GP and in Austin but I felt like I was still in Los Angeles, it even smelled the same and I swear its the same homeless people too.

Wish I had more free time to hit all the spots you guys suggested. If they do the GP at COTA next year Ill plan it out better and stuff my face then.
