    I wouldn’t buy Elka now, they prioritize sales over service and refuse to service/repair per email they sent to customers/service departments. Called everyone who possibly can help, nobody can do anything now. Maybe when everything get's back to normal, but that's like another couple years at least.

    I am now stuck with junk that can’t be fixed or used after 2 years. :angrygirl:

    Update: taking in my hands and going to mix and match while they search for parts for me. Pressed out the bearing and cleaned up the piece, off to find the bearings and misalignment spacers.

    Update 2:
    Due to design changes between when I got mine and now, mine are now getting fully rebuild where shafts and lower eyelets are getting replaced. Getting it done with authorized Elka service facility. Good news it’s going to take couple weeks, bad news it’s a :spending: because out of warranty. Also do check your ball bearings at least once every 6 months!

    Those look like they knocked the hell out of themselves for quite some time to have that shock end deformed and the bolt half-eaten away. I'll make sure to check on that sucker and those bearings.

    cant find torque specs online. Just re use factory torque specs?

    torqe specs for what? Front upper n lower mounting?

    yes, same torque spec as stock. The top nuts in front are difficult to get a torque wrench on and I just get them extra tight with a box wrench. If you can get your torque wrench on em, great, if not, no sweat, just 2 Ugga duggas will do. Rear top nut, some manufactures have a spec for how much the bushing gets squished. If it’s a very stiff bushing, it doesn’t need to get compressed too much. Softer bushings can get compressed maybe 3/4 to 1/2 of their original size. Better at about 3/4

    It's entirely possible I'm in the wrong thread, but doing some research as I replace my rear shocks on my 2012 with the Elka 2.5s.

    Curious if anyone else has run into a spacing issue on the bottom rear shock mount? My Elka 2.5's are much wider than the stock seat and I've done a bit of bending with not luck yet getting them seated and don't want to over bend the steel. TIA
