I would have said now but I shoveled 4.5 yards of bark/mulch into a wheelbarrow with a snow shovel yesterday to get it spread around all my landscaping and my arms barely work now. I don't know if I could drive on smooth roads let alone bouncing around off road.

Try going up south baldy. It’s a fun trail with some good views but I’m not sure if the snow is gone yet

hey what's that area like? You see many deer or elk or anything there? I hunt North Idaho a lot and Western Washington but not much in between.

I'm not a hunter so I wasn't actively looking for wildlife or evidence of their presence. Although I'm usually on the lookout so I don't have an encounter with them, I did not see any as I drove around. Plus it was pretty foggy

no prob, I've been lurking this thread for a while because I'm either here or in North Idaho.

Always open for a meet up as I head that way.

Figured I would post an update of my project that I've been working on. I just need to finish the flatbed and I'll be ready to drive this thing and start on the upgrades. Here's a couple of pictures. 20200628_190253.jpg 20200628_190302.jpg 20200607_180930.jpg

I think we need some competition between Bozeman and Missoula! Right now Missoula is in the lead. How about a discount depending on who gets the most signups?

I live in Wilbur, WA. About 70 miles from Spokane. Have a 2000 xtra cab 3.4 5spd. Also just recently scooped up a super clean California 4runner 5spd 3.4. 365,000 miles on it though. And was in desperate need of a suspension overhaul which I have been working on over the past month or so, as well as a lot of other maintenance . Put a new steering rack in it also. Both rigs have Bilstein 5100s all around with ome 881 Springs.
Just curious, when it comes time for me to get a new 3.4 for either of these, has anyone dealt with foreign engines in Coeur d'Alene? How are they to work with, and could anybody recommend a good shop in the area to install it? I do a lot of work myself but not sure I'm at the point where I want to do an engine replacement yet. It still runs for now but just looking down the road.
Also, I'll be honest I am not a super mechanical guy. I have learned a hell of a lot in the past year or two, definitely a lot of thanks to Timmy the toolman! Ive purchased a lot of new tools, especially very recently to work on this 4runner. Probably going to be ordering a 20-ton Harbor Freight press soon and do the rear wheel bearings on the 4Runner. One of them is bad so probably just going to do both sides, as well as the rear diff. I can hear some noise so probably pinion.
But anyways, I am raising a couple little toddlers And don't get out and about as much as I would like to but that's not to say that I couldn't get away for some off-roading here and there.
