Yes, moving plants closer to the green house so it’s not a last minute rush.

On the other hand how dare you say the nasty word

A little something every chance we get.
Morning Danny - Friday is day of the PB&J for years around here.

:pccoffee:Good Morning SA! :hattip:Think I'm going to avoid overheating if we're gonna set a record high. Run some errands and find some Putz. There's always Putz around here. Actually a good race at COTA, especially for F1. Amazing how technical it gets, and precise! "You have 3 laps to the win", and darn if it didn't come to that. And a back marker meant Max got the DRL open, not Lewis. And that was that!

I've given up on my big plans, but we're supposed to NOT have a serious one. Can't get contractors interested in not huge projects, much less out here in Lockhart. You'd think we're 100 miles from anything. Going to go get the foam board insulation for the greenhouse I think today; get ready to put it up later in the week so I'll be done. The old electric oil heater from the sunroom will move out there, replacing a 1500W box, and I upgraded the sunroom to a new model. Other than fabbing up a couple hose pipe covers, I'll be done.

Been prepping for 2 months now. Got my gas when it was about $2.50 a gallon. Plenty of food. Generator is ready to go. Just need to buy a portable heater and I'm good.

I got slapped last year with the freeze… we just had bought our first home, I was a Derp to say.. our water softener froze the bypass valve cracked and broke… had to go all over San Antonio looking for fittings… sharkbites saved the day.

I'm assuming your water softener is in the garage? It can help to insulate all the piping/fittings for the exposed pipe. Fairly cheap for thick black a/c pipe insulation at home depot. As well as insulate your garage door. Insulating the garage door helps a lot to keep the heat out in the summer too! Those insulation panel kits are about $100. I've noticed a big difference doing that for both the winter and summer.

I've even gone to the extent of putting that same insulation on the outdoor water faucets (since some of mine are coming from the ground instead of directly from the house ) surrounding the house just for peace of mind. I didnt have any of my pipes freeze or burst during the blackout. Had running water the entire time until the city turned the water off.

You just use some fuel stabilizer? I plan on finalizing my list in the next few weeks.

Looks like this is on sale (same price as 16 oz).

Anyone got some good spots for Halloween? Have some friends visiting from out of town, so any suggestions would be appreciated!
