Doing okay and keeping busy to get my mind off of things.

I was supposed to move back to Santa Ana, but that fell through and it would have been a nightmare anyways since my truck is out of commission and will be for months to come.

Other than that, trying to keep busy.

Very highly likely a rod knock.

I was looking into rebuilt short blocks and such, but the one main thing I've noticed with complaints is that "oil leaks" are extremely common with rebuilts.

I'd much rather just by the parts and rebuild my bottom end because doing that, I KNOW what was done and not crossing my fingers in hoping someone done it right.

Anyways, for started, I can get a brand new OEM crank from LCE, which is one of the very main components to begin with anyways.

I'll tell you more about the top end in a PM so not to hijack this thread.

Photo dump part 2! Didn't get as many pics of the group as I thought I did, but I guess that's proof of how much fun we were having :D

Living that mall crawler life :anonymous:

Have you considering a JDM engine? I haven't looked into too much myself but it seems to be an affordable and popular option. Side note, still have that CB around here somewhere if you want it still
    Sweet pics

Yeah, that should work. I should be home Thursday night as I don't have anything planned after I get out of work for that evening.

Just circled back to this thread. Glad y’all had a great time. If my kids were older I would have made it out.

Nice pics man! How does your prerunner do on the trails with the truetrac? Thinking about installing one in mine since shopping for a used 4x4 has been exhausting and the market is nuts. Similar terrain and offroading as you. Want to head up to death valley this winter too. ARB just seems so pricey for a 2wd. Also, deep sand is the only time I've been stuck. But both times was driver error (stopped and sunk)

I have not had any issues in sand on flat ground, going up a steep hill with sand is a different story. SDtrueblue has a video of my failed attempt up a sandy hill a few posts up on our trip Stoddard Wells.

This past summer I took the sandy dirt road in between the Reward mine and Betty Jumbo Mine in Owens Valley and blue handled it well. No issues at Pismo Beach or the sandy Beach at Crowley Lake. No issues at Laurel Lakes either. I Love the Truetrac.
