    Run those through a media blast.

    You'll be surprised at the result.

    Might be a hard sell in that condition.

    Same thing happened to the rims off my ‘05. Had them blasted and then I painted them and they still looked perfect when I sold them a couple of hundred thousand km later.

    Great deal for someone.

    FWIW, my alloys were in similar condition. Then I got busy.

    The beginning.

    Those look awesome. Got a possible buyer tomorrow, but if that falls through I’ll sure give your method a go.

    @Marc70

    Be aware. That was a lot of work and not terribly inexpensive.

    Roughly 6-7 hours per wheel to strip and prep.
    About $450 in 2k Urethane paint supplies. I had the compressor, spray gun, nozzles and NIOSH mask.
    Close to 1 hour per wheel to prime, paint, clear.
    Allowed 2 weeks for the paint to completely flash off and full cure.
    Another $100 to swap rubber/TPMS from old wheels onto refurbished wheels. The rubber/TPMS swap is sunk cost when moving rubber between wheels.

    All in with purchase of used wheels, prep, paint, .....I spent just under $170 per wheel.

    @Knute. Ah, that’s enlightening. If this sale falls through, I’ll just sell them as is. Thanks for the input.
