Bring beer if you want a few around the campfire, Utah has weird liquor laws. Moab rim campark is a nice campground, nice hot showers! McDonald's has/had bags of ice for $1 a bag. 7 mile rim is a fun scenic trail. Might want to consider taking Castleton Gateway rd into Moab too, beats I70 for the views!

You're the ump-teenth person who has said, "BYOB, their laws are screwed up." Is it just really expensive, or hard to find? It's got me wondering, what the heck is up with it?

For some reason or another its really expensive. You can get growlers filled at the brewery for about the same as anywhere just not at the liquor stores. I don't know what the laws are.

For what its worth....I was there 10 years ago with TTORA. I rode shotgun with a friend (I took a plane out there from PA). We stuck with the easy trails (chicken corners)....and still had a frigin blast. The scenery out there is ABSOLUTELY amazing!!

It's a shame...that Lions Back is no longer accessible. You definately gotta atleast watch (or try) Bump Dump (if it still exists?)

For what its worth, here's a boatload of 10 year old pictures! Have fun! You'll love it!! Be sure to visit the local town and 'be a tourist'.
