Things got a bit nautical in the garage today. It's like empty milk cartons in the fridge realizing I have no servicable burrs left to shape and blend things back up. At least it doesn't have to be done till the spring.

Seems like a lot of work to weld, sand, and repaint. How much is a replacement propeller for your boat?

Talked to Naz and he didn't want to touch it. I'm going to see CT and see what he says but this point it is what it is and I'm not spending money on the mistake. I'll just wait for the next build.

whats the spacer height? a shop with a good spring compressor might be able to just pull them, disassemble, move the spring perch to the top ring and put em back in easy (after removing the spacer).

That's the easy part. Two cross members were also cut out and replaced with bolt on ones that sit lower for the diff. I lose about 2 inches of ground clearance. I want to remove the added cross bars and have something welded in it's place and eventually lift the diff back up so I can get that clearance back. It's a custom job which I'm not keen on spending the money on.

Probably is. It's from a 6hp Yamaha on my brothers dingy. A new prop is only 60 for a non Yamaha one in Amazon. It probably is more work than it's worth. Doing it more out of the learning process since TIG is a new thing for me this year and there's nothing lost if I did mess it up. About 2/3 the way through things got much better. The prop is cast so it's pretty gnarly to get the first layer on without excessive porosity.

I dont think it was a mistake.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that lift.
I've been out on the trails with you. Nothing wrong with that.
If something is working leave well enough alone

I totally agree. It has served me well and will go a long way in having 35's fit easier. I just wouldn't do it again next time.

That'll be a 4" lift. You may run into CV axle binding issues unless you do the JD 934 conversion, which is super expensive due to the 300M axle shafts.
Going with skinny Kendas or Mickey Thompsons, or wider 315 tires?

    Mostly stock for now...
You could try https://www.usedtruckcaps.ca/ near Elora - a couple of guys at work got used toppers there and were happy with the price and selection. There is also a couple of places on Hwy 35/115 near Orono - I got mine new from Easton Truck caps - they were pretty good to deal with

I don't know a lot about off-road tires vs winter tires but I have Cooper Discoverer S/T MAXX tires.
Are these good enough for winter use on and off road or should I look to buy more
    winter specific tires?

Winter-specific are going to be the better option 100% of the time. Anything else might work in most conditions but will always be worse in specific conditions
