Ok. What about the 8awg wire going to the house battery? Can i use one of those fuses meant for an audio setup? Or would an ANL fuse work ok?

I guess I should have asked... What guage wire are you running to your blueseas panel? Ultimately, your fuse should be rated based on the length and guage of the wire + the potential draw. ANL fuse works great, if you are using 10awg or smaller wire, you can use many other fuse types.

I hadn't gotten that far yet. But i have on hand 8 and 16. The blue seas will be less than 12" away from the second battery, like it is now. I have some junky battery cables going to it currently.

Thanks for the reply. As of right now I can get 4-5 days out of mine without charging.

@sawbladeduller Thanks for all the good info. I talked to the folks at REDARC and they said 6awg would be fine, but the way I did the install my runs were way shorter.

With the two 100AH batteries I went with I have run at least 4 days without charging.

What size fuse do you have between the redarc and the house battery?

I did take a "jump start pack" with me, thanks to you. Your info is one of the reasons I went with the 1240, if I was doing it again with the same setup I would have went with the 1250. O-well!

Yes, it is a steep learning curve, and LOTS of frustrations. I got everything installed the Monday before we was to leave on Saturday. Also when I installed the wire for the lights in the camper top one of my ground wires fell down behind the battery and of course nothing worked, and it took me two evenings to figure it out. Did I mention LOTS of frustrations?

"I might have came out kinda assholish" , I like "assholish". :)

I did sort of plan everything out, BUT changed my mind mid-stream. There is a lot of info to sort out in two weeks.

Hmm i have a CTEK and was wondering if they were similar. Im going to put a 60a between the second battery and my blue seas fuse panel. According to this picture a 30a will work also. The CTEK is a 20a charger.

I am also probably going to upgrade to an Amazon brand of 100ah LiPo battery. Building around that, but using my 62ah agm for now

Hope your compressor is 30A or less, that’s the max single circuit limit for Blue Seas panels. Otherwise just go with a stand alone fuse or breaker for that circuit.

Im not following that exactly. My ARB dual is connected through my sPod in the engine bay.

What compressor are you asking about?

The one in the schematic where it says “mounted in rear- connects fridge, compressor, etc.”
If yours is different then my post is more of a “to whom it may concern” regarding that part of the schematic. Panels have a per circuit max as well as an overall current max. If you don’t mind my asking what is the per circuit max for Spods?
