Tacoma Die Cast

My daughter got a 2017 3rd generation Tacoma this year that she LOVES!!
Every year, I get my kids a Christmas ornament that has something to do with a big event for them during the year. I would love to get a Hot Wheel or Matchbox type truck for her, but they don’t really make one. Matchbox does a “rescue” vehicle, but there are items in the bed that affect the roof. Is there anywhere that does maybe custom die casts that doesn’t charge a small fortune? I’m not looking for an heirloom piece, just something that represents her baby, Tucker the TACO. Thanks!!

There is not much of anything out there Tacoma related unless you want 1st gen. There is a few Hiluxs out there right now. There is a link on Tacoma World where a bunch of guys collect diecasts. Type in Hot Wheels in the search box. They can tell you what's out there.

It wouldn't be diecast, and you would have to paint it yourself, but if you can find a model, I would be willing to 3D print one for you in resin.

 

My dealer let me custom order one to my exact specifications.

There’s a blue hot wheels Tacoma one but it was just recently released. I’ve been looking out for it for about a month now with no luck.

The matchbox ones are too overpriced and I had no luck with those either. Grocery stores like Smiths, King Soopers, Kroger, etc, usually have good selections.

 

I NEED THIS NOW! Matches my truck. If only I can get it with a smart cap haha

 

I didn't know that blue one was out yet! I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

are they really? oops. looks real to me with all the other cars on that website. but the site did seem a bit low quality

 

Some cool stuff in that box but is it only available in the case?

Doubtful I'll find something like that around here. I need to go to the next town over to even buy a Hotwheels and it's usually slim pickins.

Too bad Hot Wheels can't get their scaling right. The doors look way too tall, the cab looks chopped and the wheels and tires look like 30 series on a set of 22's and absolutly no detailing on this truck at all. I do like the Voodoo blue though

It’s a hot wheels lol not a super detailed model. In my opinion its better than the matchbox one. It’s a 4 door and it looks cute if I may say that. I’m sure a lot of people will be getting it once its out in 2022. Can’t wait to see the custom ones that people will come up with to try and make it as close as possible to their own truck. Have you seen that RC one? That one is crazy its like super up to scale but man it’s expensive.
