    Mad Hatter pepper fast facts
Scoville heat units (SHU) 500 to 1,000

    jalapeño peppers measure 2,500–8,000

In conclusion, they're an actual hot bell pepper. Or the same heat as an anaheim.

Just found this thread. I love me some hot sauce. I have a handful of Carribean red habeneros that I'm getting ready to cook down into some "haute" sauce. Anyone have any good recipes for a pepper like this?

Sorry for the late response. It tastes like a pepper sauce, just no heat whatsoever. I was thinking either get some extract to spice it up or blend it with another hot sauce.

Secret Aardvark is my favorite habanero hot sauce. It's got a great balance of flavor and (quite a lot of) heat, and goes well on a lot of different foods (it's my go-to sandwich sauce.)

    20220130_193435.jpg

Hotter Than El Gator Jakes Rajun Cajun is my current overall favorite. There is almost no heat and very light vinegar flavor, but man is it absolutely packed with flavor. It's perfect for almost any kind of rice or potato dish, and pairs up even nicer if the dish has some cheese.

    20220130_193403.jpg

And of course, Cholula Garlic! There is literally no other choice of what to put on eggs.

    20220130_193449.jpg

    Miss me with that Tapatio.

I want to thank whoever recommended TRUFF. It has moved to the top of my list and I'm going to try some of their other sauces. Any recommendations?

I don’t think I’ve seen Frank’s or Texas Pete anywhere in this thread, both household staples in the south for putting on everything. Is this thread reserved for “what’s the hottest stuff I can get to prove my manhood” sauces and “boutique” flavored sauces only? Or Yankee sauces only?

My Serrano and Jalapeno homemade hot sauce. Peppers, garlic, salt, sugar and vinegar. Cures more things than a snake oil salesman can promise!
