Spaced out and a little extra for the X1 tab. I'll just go 1" spacing from the Molle panel and should be good.

That is spot on. Easy to seal and definitely the X1 won't shift. That coupled with the clamps and the corner gig I made, that sucker will be solid. With all of that, any shift load should be fairly evenly distributed so no single connection will take the majority of force. Looking forward to see how it works and how SP reacts. Great job!!!

Appreciate that! Curious how they react as well. Lol hoping it's not an issue. I'll list updates.

I'd heard the same about flex panels having issues with heat. That's a concern for me living in Socal and spending lots of time in the desert. I found this vid and roughly followed his setup. Definitely not the easiest or cheapest method but it's been very solid and I haven't had any issues with the panels. Subbed in a few alternate materials/parts to save money.

Panels are 100W Renogy. T-track was mounted with VHB tape.

Just got back from a 2-month trip, up to 125+ nights in the SP. Agreed, camper/tent is not perfect but it's so much better than what I had before (tent, bivy, cowboy camp, or sleep in drivers seat). There are a few things I don't like or that could be improved but I really can't complain much.

I went through some major rain storms in CO and MT the last few months. There is still some water intrusion in places, but not as bad as what I had last winter in WA after I picked up my camper. The rain on that trip was crazy and I had a lot of intrusion in the back corners that time. Not as much over the summer when storms were heavy but didn't last all day. I'm still getting some moisture seeping in from the kedar rail, which seeps onto the side and underside of the Exped. There's usually condensation along the inner extrusion and roof as well when it's wet out. I keep some microfiber towels handy and wipe everything down before I close it up. Next time its sunny I open up the camper when I'm not driving and flip over the Exped. It usually dries out pretty quick.

I probably had the most water spill in through that back door. Both during storms as the rain splashed in under the door while the tent was deployed. Or when putting the tent away as water dripped off the back panel onto the rear platform panels inside. I leave the back tent door partially unzipped when closing the camper to let air escape. Whatever water dripped onto the platform panels is easy enough to wipe up. I do get a lot of condensation on the rear tent door and the rear tent corner panels. As in beads of water running down them. At the same time there will be zero condensation on the sides of the tent. This is with all the vents open. It's a bit strange, but not a big issue I just wipe them down periodically. 90-95% of the time when weather is nice none of this is an issue.

Wondering if there is any sort of waterproofing spray that could be applied to exposed kedar rail inside the tent to keep water from seeping through from it?

Following my trip I have a few improvements I want to make to my setup.

First up was to finally add an external Sirius XM receiver as my service has been intermittent - sometimes fine for a while, other times completely unlistenable. Someone on TW linked to these components earlier, thanks for that. Install was easy, routing the cable was a bit of a pain. Placed the receiver on the top corner of the camper. Reception while running some errands was flawless except when under bridges. I may look at an external FM antenna as well.

@nudavinci64, @gnardoggie have either of you guys successfully hooked up your third brake light with full functionality?

Any 2nd. gen owners that have successfully wired the X1 third brake light with both DRL and brake light capabilities care to share their secrets? I have tried the SP method of black wire-tail light, red wire-brake light and white-ground and I keep blowing the brake light fuse. I am using positaps. I can get brake or DRL but not both....Pics would be a bonus.

    TIA

I have, yes. I have it run as a running light with full brightness when I brake. I can get to the truck this AM and see what I can figure out - might have to pull the light but that's nbd.

Thanks, that is what I am hoping to do as well. I have tried multiple different wire configurations with no luck getting running light with full brightness when I brake. I will stick to firefighting and not electrical work!

yea, i originally sent them ones that 8020 sells thanks to an IG ad, but Spencer came back quickly saying these are perfect and you get 4x60" for the price which is half decent.

I had some existing wiring but ended up just using a plug and play plug a member makes. Make it super easy. But it's easy I can pull out where its tapped if someone doesn't state it already.

indeed so these are good to order? Right now I just have thicker wireloom over them which seems to wedge insight of the T-Slots. Do they have opening throughout?
