A little something every chance we get.
I have some MOOG 270 greasable super Strength coming. Have a little fitting on one of the cross ends. Seems the OEM could have been sealed or not on my generation. Even the greaseable come sealed and greased for 100K use, but you can grease if your abusive!

Morning Linwood - mmmmmmm, another smoked George Hamilton!
Morning Mark - good day to mow!
    Morning Scott

    Morning Chas

:pccoffee: Goooooooooood Morning SA! Looks like a fine day to mow twice. Going to give the lawn a winter haircut, and it looks better when you take a little at a time. Despite the tangle with the tire yesterday, was a fine day otherwise. Diabetes Doctor loved me, gave me another 6 months. Found a place in Georgetown where I could actually lay hands on the fireplace inserts I want, and they could actually get one around January if I buy now. So, I was amazed when Carol didn't have a cow at the price, and it looks like the process will begin shortly!
Money's no good if you don't spend it on cool stuff! :spending:

I'm planning on a U-Joint replacement, but will gladly give way to those with more serious needs.

Less than 3 miles from Cactus Land Brewery, then off to Praise Jesus Coldbeers.

I'm not fan of moog, the quality on some of the front end parts for yotas have been total crap, return that or it's gonna cost ya more beer to install inferior parts.

    Spicer u joints FTW.

Nothing wrong with MOOG, but all right. I ordered Spicer if it makes you happy!

I’ve always had good luck with MOOG parts in the past. Used them for years on my other vehicles. I replaced my lower ball joints, tie rods and sway bar links on the Tacoma with their stuff.
It’s held up well enough, smooth ride still but the front end bits have started rusting rather quick.

That seems like a twofold issue. One it was quick, barely a year and a half that they’re on, and two I’m in El Paso, our stuff doesn’t rust. Or it shouldn’t like that.

I did go with Spicer u-joints. No apparent issues there.

    On da road, farm bound.

Don't know anything about them, it is important for drive line, suspension and brake components to have quality parts, that is your safety and reliability.

Probably the most secure load of cardboard I've hauled 1/2 mile. Because I don't want to go chasing it down!!

They’re pretty good too, on par with MOOG parts. I managed an auto parts store for years so I saw a lot of parts from different brands come and go.
I don’t see the Spicer carrier bearing in stock anywhere anyway, no listing on RockAuto and unavailable most other places.

Moog parts suck, I'm telling their boots don't hold up, and threads on suspension parts are not cleanly cut, often with burrs.
