I probably wouldn't if I had your guys' numbers and could reach you other ways. Other than the meme thread and this thread I really don't use this site for anything

Hey there automatic transmission Mount you gave me what was that for exactly? It doesn't fit the Tacoma at all The bottom bolts line up way differently. We tried hacking up the cross member to make it fit but it wouldn't fit. Just curious what the heck is it actually for?

Also million-dollar idea time, why the heck has it somebody developed an automatic torque gun? Like I have this badass electric impact why can't I like tell it to torque my bolt to 50 ft pounds or whatever. Tool like that would be freaking awesome.

Well if the description was correct upon purchasing then it's from a 2000-01 Hilux surf.

I would of thought somebody had invented that already, would be handy if it was accurate.

Got you That's probably why then. They must be just ever so slightly different because the bottom bolts that attach it to the cross member are offset and the one on the Tacoma is dead center. Interesting I guess.

You would think not that I've looked but somebody should freaking make that thing.

Did I give you a new bracket at one point or are we talking about the Trans bracket on the actual transmission you picked up?

You gave me one of the transmission rubber mounts that bolts the transmission to the cross member. I can't remember when you gave it to me but you gave it to me because you ended up swapping the five-speed into the double cab.

Yeah sorry I had forgot about that when answering the first time. I'm pretty sure I got that from partsouq for the DC, so should of been for an 01 Tacoma. Thing was for a 2wd Trans so maybe that's the issue

Hm maybe that's it then. 2wd vs 4wd.

Well cool. Haha well I'll pass it along to someone else that needs it. Didn't work for me.

Pretty sure you can control the torque output of some Milwaukee tools that connect to an app.

One key tools. But it's not perfect. Like you can't set it to 80ftlbs. More set it to a power level mode.

To many factors to really have a gun that can do specific torques. Like socket sizes and types.

Seems like you could be able to put in the size socket, if you have any extensions or adaptors and what torque you want and get it within 5%.

    But maybe so

It exists if you’re willing to pay the money. Hytorc normally deals in very high priced precision tools for industrial work.

How did you guy torque the flex plate to TC bolts? My wrench doesn't fit. Did you use a 3/8" wrench?

Yeah I believe so. Other than having to work in that tight little spot through the inspection port, I don’t recall it being very difficult actually.

I do have a small, 3/8" torque wrench but I can't recall if it was used. I'm pretty sure it was Big Dan @drr who was under there. You're right tho, with the limitations of the inspection cover and the engine block in the way, there isn't much room to work with. It could very well have been the gootentite method.

    Dan do you recall?

Yeah almost positive we got a 3/8 torque wrench in there, I remember looking up the torque specs and everything like a real mechanic

Probably could figure it out. I don't think One Key is that fancy though. Been awhile since I used it but it was more just percentage and like lug nut modes.

But really most people aren't doing stuff that needs absolute precision. Like lug nuts...spec might be 80ftlb but really 70-90ftlb is fine.

I didn't know hytorc was making a gun now. It slow though at the 5rpm.

But would be awesome for doing 20 bolt flanges and stuff where the nuts are already snugged up then you go back for final torque.

One of the scarier things I've experienced was a hytorc exploding. A hydraulic one at something like 60k ftlbs.
