Nice! Any plans for a gas tank plate? I'd be very interested.

    Sooooo,

    A two-piece section...?

I'm not sure how heavy the TRD Pro skid plate is but this 2-section would alleviate having to muscle it.

This is one of the reasons I like the two piece plate system. I also have a pretty beefy mount under the two plate system, so at the corner/bend you are really getting 1/2" worth of Aluminum.

I was not able to get the plate finished to a point of being able to sell it. I am very close. I am hoping I can get someone to swing by next week so I can do some final test fitting and made a couple to sell.

I also managed to test fit my plates on a 2nd gen Tacoma as well.

Had to cut this small hook off the back cover before being able to slide the shield in. Overall a very simple installation and quick shipping!!

Think this would work with an RCI front skid? Looking at the photos it appears they might work together, maybe use the same bolt locations in the front of yours/ rear of the skid, but there's a spacer in there currently anyway. Been a bunch of cat thefts in my neighborhood lately and seems like this might be a decent deterrent

Are you sure that you have those winglets installed correctly?
It looks like they are reversed to me.

Most likely not. I keep my margins really tight to offer the best value I can. Keep in mind when comparing my prices to other brands, my plates are thicker. I’m trying to get to the first of the year without increasing prices due to materials skyrocketing.

I know a gentleman with a 4 runner added my plate to the RCI plates without issues. I would assume the Tacoma is about the same.

    Front Skid plate news:

I managed to test fit it on a 4 Cylinder 2wd 3rd gen. It fits.

The only thing I need to verify now is that I have my oil filter access door in the right place. I am about 70% sure it is. If you are willing to be a tester, and can give with the fact the door might be in the wrong spot, I am willing to ship a plate off at a discounted price.

If you are local to me, shoot me a message.

Once I start selling them the plates will be made to order, so there will be a little lead time. This is only to figure out any other potential bugs/issues that could come up. Once I get a good feel on their fit, and an idea of order volume they will be a regularly stocked item like everything else.

Thank you @Talon2006 for making a great product. Will be interested in adding a T-case in the future and possibly front skid too.

this is my cover on a 2nd gen with a few of the holes modified.

I am debating how I want to change it to help protect the cat better since the 2nd gens don’t have the braces in the cats.

Just ordered a shield for my Tacoma. I've got the RCI front skid. I'll send photos of fit and finish once I install it.

I like the catalytic converter shield and just saw a video on youtube showing it installed along with TRD Pro skid plate. Looks great!

    Any black Friday specials? :D

Looks to me like alternate designed winglets would be a simple solution for without braces.

@Talon2006 Will the new front skid, etc be compatible with your cat shield?
