Anybody have a receiver with a floating display? I'm looking into a Pioneer receiver with a floating display and I'm wondering if it will work.

Not sure what a floating display is. You have a model number?

I've had one on those in a truck. The radio is so recessed that the screen would come out and had to be slightly angled downward. I also didn't like it because I prefer knobs over a touch screen.

@cr500taco what generation do you have? I had a Kenwood excel eXcelon in my '99 for >10yrs. Muuuuch better audio control (duh) but in those trucks the audio dins were so low that it was less than ideal. Plus it blocked the climate controls a bit. The 2nd & 3rd gens' audio locations are more conducive to a flip out head unit.

I'll see if I can find a better image but here is one. I put the receiver in the top din and put a cubby in the bottom oneFB_IMG_1637844540199.jpg
