Hi guys, I had a power steering flush done. I noticed that when the engine is cold and I turn the steering wheel I get a low whining. Also noticed that if I press the brakes in Drive and turn the steering wheel the truck shudders “vibrates” this happens if the truck is fully stopped and if I’m pressing the brakes and turning the wheel, any ideas?? I’m worried now please help

Whining when turning the wheel usually means the power steering fluid is low. Maybe when whoever flushed it they got some air in the line? Also didn't fill it up all the way?

Should I check with the truck at operating temperature and hot mark??

I’m having the same problem, 99 4x4. When stopped, is at it’s worst near full lock. Either the pump is failing or the rack and pinion. The more of a load on it the more it shudders. Any suggestions on how to diagnose between the pump or rack? Thanks

it is my understanding that there is a filter at the bottom of the reservoir, low flow could be due to filter blockage.
