Its been a while since I checked in here. You guys look like you've been having some fun. I gotta get out there with you guys.

Those of you with 3rd gens, have you guys thought about a tune? I've been looking into them a bit to freshen things up and think that KDMax seems to be widely used and proven. The closest installers are about 4 hours drive from Pittsburgh, but was thinking if a few of us were interested one of the installers might come out to Pittsburgh to knock out a few trucks. Wanted to put out a feeler before asking them if someone would be interested. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/kdmax-pro-tune-by-paparee-and-twtaco.713699/

Seems like it'd be around $400, but maybe a group discount if there are enough trucks? Looks like their installers all have their own business that do this and met some criteria for KDMax to use them as installers. Looks like their customer support is the best there is for this stuff.

Most seem to be reporting better throttle response, better drivability, and picking up 1-3mpg. Even trucks armored and big tires. Gears, no gears, MT, AT, CAI, stock intake, 87-94 octane self learning.

    Their website:
    https://kdmaxtuning.com/

Dyno Charts from previous 6.0 tune they have done earlier 2021. The most recent tune builds on this and people that have had 6.0 and moved to the latest Pro tune have commented on improvements, especially in smoothness.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...7-2021-k-d-tuning.709247/page-2#post-25223039 4.88 and 33" MT tires +19whp/+3wtq over stock
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...7-2021-k-d-tuning.709247/page-2#post-25237828 91 octane, 4.88 gears +37whp/+7wtq over stock

Check it out and let me know if you think you'd be interested. I'll find out if someone would be willing to come to Pittsburgh to do this.

I am getting a tune as soon as my new wheels/tires arrive for my 22 TRD sport M/T. Being a former WRX guy - I know a tune completely changes the game. And I should wait to get tuned until I put my 32"s on.

Ill shoot you a DM then, xxgodly

We’ll be camping in ANF for opening weekend.

Probably hit one or two blue lines looking for natives to avoid the bucket truck chasers.

Prob wont be up that weekend, but will most likely be up the weekends after that. not really keen on fishing elbow to elbow. worst case scenario i know a couple of small streams that hold natives.
