I rode at McCauley Mountain in Old Forge NY over the weekend. They've been doing a lot of work there in the past few years, and have some nice trails. We planned to ride for two days, but the weather caused us to leave earlier than planned and ride elsewhere. I wish we had more time to see more of the trails.

We didn't see any bears, but the campground where we stayed had an electric fence around the dumpsters. The deer in the campground were definitely habituated to people. I bet they would let people pet them.

I ride Elm Brook in my home town it's a fun system but not a lot of vertical, I also hit Broken Ground in Concord NH and when I lived in Allenstown I spent my free time in Bear Brook SP, I had a 1st gen Pivot Mach 5 but my current whip is a Foes Mutz full suspension Fatty.

We just spent a few days at Kingdom Trails. Overall, it was great (as always). There are some trails that could use some work. Sidewinder has some erosion, notably some drops off of roots on some of the downhill portions. Some of the berms on Kitchel could use some smoothing out too. On the other hand, Black Bear was in outstanding shape. With the amount of trails, and the amount of use, I can't imagine the effort that goes into maintaining all of it.

We stopped at Cady Hill in Stowe on the way home. The primary flow trial there, Florence, was really nice. It's worth riding if you're in the area.

My son and I love Kingdom Trails, and Sidewinder and Kitchel are 2 of our favorites. It sucks that one of the landowners pulled out of the group, it had some really great trails on it and is where we would spend most of our time.
