Welcome to Middle TN. If you drive thru Sumner County and see a AG Pro with matching shell, that's me.

Recently moved north of Nashville myself. Finally got to take my truck out to Turkey Bay for a couple days. lots of trails for beginners and most everthing is marked with Yellow, Orange or Blue depending on how crazy you want to get.

This is news to me! Yes! And dispersed camping on the water. Will definitely be hitting this place up when I settle in.

Drive East on paved roads up into the Smokies. Turn onto any gravel road.
When you come to a dirt road....follow it. Look for a set of wheel tracks leading off into the wooded hills, follow these tracks.
When you begin to smell hard wood fires then you're getting close to an adventure.

Since this thread is fairly new I’m going to toss my name in the pot as well. Just moved to Cookeville couple days ago. Would like to join up with some fellow Tacoma drivers as well.

I was just nearby Cookeville over the weekend, cool area. From what I have found is there are a handful of local groups on Facebook for meet ups. The one I'm in frequently goes to Land Between the Lakes or LBL for short. We have a few camping trips planned. You can send me a pm if you are interested. LBL is north east of Nashville nearby the TN/KY boarder. You can pick up a dispersed camping permit and camp at all the remote camping sites. They sell weekend and annual permits. They also have an off-road specific area called Turkey Bay which I have yet to go too. Other than that, I noticed there is not as much public land in TN as other states out west. That means you will have to pay to enter an off-road park.
