Aiming to drive across the Mojave during the first week of December. Exact date is flexible. Haven’t done it before and wondering if it’s easy to meet up with others that are going across. I can do it solo but I keep reading how it’s not advisable to do it that way. Am I likely to just randomly meet folks doing the same thing on a weekday?

All general advice is also very welcome.

It would be best to organize a group beforehand. You may find a random group to join, but it all really depends. The Mojave road is ~130 miles, so, if going solo and anything mechanic goes wrong, it's going to be a while before any road side assistance will get to you. You'll pass through remote areas so be prepared. Bring recovery equipment, air compressor, spare tire, tire repair kit, etc. Bring enough water for you and your passenger(s).
