    That’s not how antennas work lol

    The best antenna is gonna depend on the use, mounting location, wavelength, etc.

    if you just want vehicle to vehicle coms, gmrs is sufficient and easy. I’ve got a mxt275

    if you want long distance, you need to get a ham license and get a uhf/vhf radio which will far out perform anything else and can utilize repeaters. It has far more capabilities but there’s also a lot to learn.

    for shtf, I use a garmin inreach on the iridium satellite network. You can have the best radio in the world but if there’s no one listening in range, it don’t matter your still screwed. The inreach has 100% global coverage with 2 way communication and sos to contact geos

    LKQ has First gen Tacoma’s every once in a while. Most go to small yards and get stripped fast.

    JT thanks for reposting that. it helps a lot! i didn't realize there were so many options. probably rethink my plans and just replace the backing plates and consider a after market diff.
