    Howdy all,

    Maryland Offroad Enthusiasts (MORE) is putting together an AOAA trip on December 18th. I figured this would be a great thread for TW planning, rosters, etc. Where is AOAA? The Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area is located at 4100 State Route 125
    Coal Township, PA 17866.

    What do I need in order to go on the trails?

    Before coming to the site, you need to fill out the online waiver, here

    The waiver will have all the rules you need to abide. We highly recommend downloading Maprika, a map application which will have the AOAA trail maps you can use, with a GPS overlay.

    It's a pretty fun place to go. If you are worried about your vehicle holding up, I went earlier this year with a pretty stock TRD Offroad Tacoma and had no issues. There are some easier trails to enjoy, as well as some harder trails.

    I want to do a White Elephant gift exchange for anyone interested, around noon or lunch time at the event. White Elephant, also called Polyana or Chinese Christmas, is as follows:

    So the way white elephant works is you have 10 participants, for example. Everyone brings a wrapped item and puts it in a pile. Everyone draws a number, 1-10, from a hat. Number one chooses a gift and opens it. Number 2 can choose to steal #1's gift, or open a new gift. Number 3 can choose to steal from 2 or 1, or to open a new gift. If your gift is stolen, you can choose to open a new gift, or steal someone else's gift. Each gift can only be stolen 3 times, and there can only be 3 steals per round. Person 10 can open the last gift or steal from basically anybody, unless the desired gift has been stolen 3 times already.

    If you are interested in participating, bring a wrapped gift valued no more than $30 which would have a wide enough audience for people attending (i.e. don't bring a bumper sticker that says "Rob's Taco"). Also, please respond in this thread if you are attending, and if you would like to participate. I need to make sure I have enough paper for numbers to hand out.

    MORE will be meeting in the parking lot at 9am and hoping to run trails by 9:20. I'll probably be there around 8:30 if anyone wants to meet for coffee before-hand.

    Attending:
    @Scrovak and his wife
    (MORE) Trevor F.
    (MORE) Noah C.

    Maybe:
    @Sub_Par
    @Taco critter
    @hyrule_trd

    It depends if my kid has a basketball ball game. I’ve got a buddy with a jeep that might be interested too.

    My kid has a basketball game on the 18th so unless the wife goes alone, I won’t be able to make it….

    Putting myself down as a "maybe," need to do a baseline run with the GX prior to upgrades... Anyone doing greens? Don't want to push it to blues yet on the stock tires/suspension/approach angle

    Just posting to get subbed. Is there a reoccurring thread for these kinds of meetups at aoaa? I actually have an annual membership there, for my dirtbike... Never taken a vehicle.

    I'm not quite ready, seeing as this meet is in just one week. I have a couple simple things I want to do first, like diff breather mod. Aoaa is full of mud holes.

    To my knowledge, there isn't a running thread yet for AOAA, no. That said, while they do have some serious mud holes, when I was there, they were easily navigable if you didn't want to submerge yourself
