Good morning John. I've updated my PayPal account and am ready to proceed with purchasing my seat covers, heated and cooled. My truck is a 2021 Tacoma, SR5, 4X4, Double Cab (full 4 doors), Short Bed. It's Black with a Black and Gray interior. Just as a reminder, I want Premium black seat covers, Black stitching, cooled/heated kits for the front seats (Degreez kits). I know that will take the special foam (retriculated?) and perforated sections on the back and seat bottom to allow the cooling to occur. I'll need the hog ring and pliers as well unless you think I should just pick those up locally.

You've done a lot of these kits for people, so if you have advice on my color choices I'm open to your input. I've blacked out the exterior of the truck and other than the seats, don't plan to do much color changing on the inside other that the seat covers from gray cloth to black leather. So it will still have gray headliner, some gray on the door panels, etc....

For folks with a 2nd gen with black leather, what did you do about the grey seat trim and seat belts? paint/ dye? any recommendations?

Does anyone have a video of their install of the degreez kits? I see several on youtube.com but haven't seen on specifically done on a Tacoma. If you have a video or a link to one, please let me know.

 

I know I took lots of pictures for the write up on the back, not sure I did the front, but it’s pretty easy. Give me a day or two to get my “instructables” together and I’ll post something. My back seats are pretty phenomenal. Got lots of compliments from the dealer and the service techs when it went it for an alignment and engine cleaning.

I will say, I have now sat in the back seat of my truck during an impromptu volunteer session along with one of the other volunteers and the jump seats and back panel are SOLID, meaning I have no issues with any of the installation techniques I used.

Just received my Katzkin leather kit. All I can say is WOW. This is gonna look amazing in my truck. Even includes door panels, rear jump seats, and rear back rest. I will definitely post pics when it's all installed after the holidays.

How much for black leather with grey wings for a 2021 double cab Tacoma?

Any ideas on lead time for these kits? I just ordered and am extremely excited for this awesome upgrade.

 

@jhuey8947 ive got a 2006 TRD Sport DCLB in radiant red with a grey cloth and grey interior I kind of like the idea of black leather but am worried it may clash do you have any recommendations for a better color match on a leather that will match the current grey interior?

Would love the heated and cooled but probably can’t justify spending that much on a truck this old so will likely just do heated ... are there any photos in this thread showing the switches that come with the seats by default and where folks mount them?
