I drive my mum around in her 2013 Honda Fit frequently, as well as my Tacoma. That little car is an absolute blast to drive in the summer and does phenomenally well in our northern BC winters, even when we're getting hit with a foot and a half or two of snow in one night. I've actually considered buying it off her (she wants to get into something a little taller with AWD) because it's an awesome little car.

Re: cost. Driving the truck costs $0.21 per mile at 18.6 avg mpg and $4 per gallon.

We drive about 100 miles per week around town. The bolt has a 259 mile range with the 65 kWh battery. Let’s call it 200 with occasional cold weather.

That means two full charges per month for a total of 130 kWh. Where I live, it costs about 10 cents per kWh.

Final result: $13/mo in electricity costs for the 400 miles.

Edit: That’s not including public charging options which would further reduce the cost as well as offset additional annual mileage costs if accessed on road trips.

Mr. Snoman's been here 9 weeks, but we don't know what part of the world he lives in, his approximate age or life experience, or even his first name... Sno??? But we are supposed to believe his evry word. Does Sno own an EV or a Hybrid? He has not said. I owned a Hybrid for 9 years. I know that there is a lot more to owning one than meets the eye. The one I owned shares much in common with the Fit that has been mentioned in this thread. When the battery cooler fails like mine did... BOOM! it's $900 to replace. And the 110v battery is not cheap either. Mine needed a battery when I got rid of it.
