I'm replacing the shocks on my 95 Regular cab with Bilstein 5100's. I got the rears swapped today but held off on the front because I didn't have new spring isolators and my old ones are pretty beat.

I originally ordered just the shocks planning to re-use the front springs but now realize it would have been simpler to just order pre-assembled coil overs. Oh well... I ordered two new OEM strut mounts from my local dealership at great cost and now realize there may be more parts that need to be replaced when I take the current front shock assembly apart.

Is there anything else I need to get before I replace the front shocks? My truck is also my only vehicle so I don't want to take the current suspension apart if I'm not getting it back together in the same day.

    Thanks!

Not sure what comes with the new oem strut mounts, I went with moog ones.

the thing I was missing through is the bushings and washers that go at the top of the shock and mount it to the top hat.

Aftermarket mount kits come with the whole lot.

OEM mount might just be the plate and studs, which don't wear out. Make sure the oem has the bushings.

I went ahead and ordered two sets of bushings and washers. So hopefully by the end of this week I will have all the correct parts!

Just curious - what exactly is an "oem strut mount"?

From what I understand what I ordered from the dealer included the coil spring isolators. I will update that this week when the parts come in!

What I believe I ordered from the dealer is #19 on the diagram. The other parts I ordered are the washers and bushings that can be seen on top of the shock, #3 on the diagram.
