All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I think I keep avoiding owning one, cause I know it’s gonna bleed my pockets. Everything for those is $$$$

Anyone have recommendations on the best crimper tool for weather pack style connectors?

I'm swapping some lights around and will need to change connector styles...

    Thanks in advance!

Took me a little bit to get used to it, but it makes nice clean one crimp terminals.

New hybrid front bumper from CBI for 3rd gens. I don’t hate it.

Doesn't another company make a bumper similar to this one? Can't remember who it is at the moment though.

I don't hate it either, but the question for me, as always, is what does it weigh...

    Same crap everyone else got
Looks similar to the C4 Fab, or Lil B's custom fab one.

I would bet my whole taco that the companies you mentioned have way better customer support. CBI’s was non existent when I had my latch pop open on the dual swing out rolling down the highway.

    Same crap everyone else got

I was in a thread here this past year where CBI sent a guy in a 2015 a bumper for a 05-2011 tacoma. So there was a noticeable gap b/c of the difference in front end design. Took over 3 months for them to tell him they will send him a new one. He got the first bumper in Feb. They sent the replacement in September. Plot twist....They sent him the same incorrect bumper he already had!

Their customer service seems to be a regular issue I've seen people mention. It keeps me clear of all their products.

That would piss me off. my swing out was made by a local guy and I have had it for several years now. I am still slightly parinoid about it swinging open on the road even though I have never had an issue with it to this day (excluding user error or offroading situatuions)

I don't think CBI is the same company it was 5 years ago. They used to have superb customer service and then it was like a light switch and things changed.

I want to support them because I know that running a custom fab shop is not an easy business and they are sort of local. That said, I'm in the group of people who had a bad experience with them. I'm torn on the matter so I won't slam them, but I'll just say that I had a bad experience.

Didn’t they get bought out by Prinsu? Or the other way around?
