What did you use to get the adhesive off? I bought new weather strips, but will wait for nicer weather to install.

At first I tried soaking it in goo gone and that was a huge GD mess. Then I switched to the drill and adhesive eraser like this.

I attached the Softopper snap rails to these.

    No tilting EVER! ;-)

But isn't it amazing that the entire soft topper frame assembly is "supported" by those two small pins ? Nothing else holds it UP, but there are a lot of elements pulling down. No wonder the rails tilt in (the pins tilt down).

All this rain in socal has me like... Time to change the weather stripping! It's the original from 6 years ago. Water coming under front multiple points on both sides. Not good. Still nothing coming through the canvas. Durable AF

So, I'm about 5-6 weeks into my wait and I'm starting to wish I got tan instead of black. Anyone have luck changing their order around? LOL I would be content with the black, but the tan definitely grew on me. MGM btw

He also makes a set specifically for the soft topper on the website. Here mine are installed. I damaged some of the led’s from pushing them on so hard I believe so make sure you don’t make the same mistake.

I am trying to put on my Softopper and I am stumped. A buddy and I both remeasured, reinstalled and rechecked everything but we can't get the snaps and buttons on the side to match. We are less than a quarter inch off. I don't understand what I am missing. The bars aren't backwards, and everything is tight but it feels like the fabric is almost to small. Has anyone else had this issue or have any ideas what to check? A 45 minute project has turned into an all afternoon project.

Was a pain to do this time of year with colder weather. Assumed it would take an hour or so and it took me several hours fighting the cover.

That's what I was wondering. It was about 35 degrees when working on it today. Maybe I should find someone with a heated garage.

Had to get my garage heated pretty well for it to finally work.

might be worth it to bring the cover inside overnight to let it warm up then try again in the morning.

    Just some stuff...
Don’t forget you can also lower the two pins that everything pivots on. I did and it made things a bit easier. The canvas is still very taut with no issues whatsoever.

That was my final attempt. I got everything adjusted and lower and still less than a quarter inch off! But what I did get snapped looked good and I like it lowered. Seems to cover the bed more on the sides.
