Would you mind/be able to show a pic of what the wiring looks like? Just can’t decide how I want to wire mine heating elements/switches.

the switches look like a dark grey and not black from the pics. Can you tell the color is off if you really look closely at them in person or is it noticeable at all? Thinking of using this.

I put in aftermarket heated seats but used the factory relay and fuse so it appears more OEM. My 2021 SR5 already had the basic wiring to include an installed fuse. I just had to add a relay to the empty factory slot and find the right wire to cut (pin 5 on IE2 which is the junction for the seat heater going to the driver's seat). I detail it on the tacoma3g site but it was a pretty easy install (with the exception of the seat covers as detailed above). I used the same high-low switches posted above. They look factory except that the 'low on' and 'high on' indicators are orange instead of green like everything else in the truck. I ordered new LEDs and will replace the orange with green to make it totally factory-looking.

I’m surprised you can switch out the leds. Would assume their soldered to the switch.

I used this brand kit in the 4Runner I just traded. Yes it was kind of a pain to install but I did it 3 years ago and the switches looked factory. They got warmer than stock ones too. I'll probably put the same ones in the tacoma I just got.

They are. Right angle LEDs and soldered on. I have two sets of these switches have been playing around with them. I found the blue to be a tiny bit lighter in color than the factory blue so I soldered in new blue LEDs but they are too blue so I'm going back to the original and will put in the green at the same time. The photo below is what the inside of the switches look like. The light blue is the aftermarket factory, the darker blue is a replacement LED but it is too dark.

So interestingly, the weather was cold and I turned on the heated mirrors and the defroster. I never noticed before but they both use orange indicator LEDs instead of green. I guess I won't swap those to green after all.

I read over your install guide on T3G, I don't see any mention of where you spliced in the "on wire". I have tracked down the wires needed for "night light" as well as IE2 for the hot power, and the ground location. I also purchased and installed the denso relay from toyota. I know this is an older thread but any assistance you can offer would be appreciated. I am using the aftermarket kit with rocker switches similar to the one you used. Thanks.

It's been a minute but if I recall correctly, I took the output from the factory relay (that is only energized when the vehicle is on) and then ran it to my switches. The switches feed the aftermarket heater relay (which switches between hi and low). So the 'on' is just the factory seat heater circuit.

I was wondering if one could get the switch’s where you could turn off the seat cushion and leave the back panel on , for the guy that just wants to keep his back warm while driving to work

I’m sure you can wire them like you want, maybe have 4 switches. The bottom and back panels each have their own connections I used.
