Hey Dennis. I have that light on myself and have searched around here a bit for ideas. I don’t have a link to the threads but if you search a little you should be able to find them. One was involved messing with the wiring a bit, setting up jumpers to certain pins that kind of thing. Seemed like a good way to cause an electrical problem to me but it might work for you. I stumbled across one the other day where a guy removed the headliner and unplugged the module that was located on the roof at the very back. Some people have taken there sensors and put them in a capped off little pvc tube and pressurized it to 35 or 40 psi that way if you change tires for the season or whatever reason the light never comes on. And yeah always the little piece of black tape. Anyway more info about it can be found if you do a little searching around here. Hope this was helpful.

A little something every chance we get.

Welcome Dennis - don't go to the dealer for TPMS. Sensors in each wheel have a battery, and expected life is 7-10 years. Yours will reach end of life in the near future. And all the dealers charge a premium for this service.
If you go to Discount Tire, they usually have a flat fee ($60 here) for a new sensor - all handling of the tire included. They can tell you if your spare has one (it probably does). They reprogram all the sensors in your system. Then, you have a functioning system to last another 7-10 years.
I'm sure that SOMEONE here has done a simple disable of the system as a whole. I preferred to keep mine operational.
