Tired of using the Weather Channel Temp which is only updated about 4 times in 24 hours. Looking for the above.... wireless transmitter for temperature and smaller stick or or Velco readout for the inside. Suggestions??

I tried doing that on mine for awhile and it didn't work very well, I finally went with a Gentex mirror from Bob's Mirrors he has a plug and play kit if your truck is prewired all you have to do is run the sensor.
Other members have came up with various temp displays if you search around a bit but I like the mirror and the autodimming is nice too.

Thanks for the reply but Bob's Mirror has got to have the worlds worst Search and product display ever. I will keep looking. But I did message him lets see what happens?

Has anyone tried to buy a cheaper Gentex mirror off ebay and then just get the wiring adapter from Bob's? I can get the Gentex 453 on ebay for around $50 and Bob's wants around $200.

I don't see why you couldn't do it that way if you can get the mirror, adapter, sensor, and harness separately.

I think my 14 has the wiring all in from factory including the temp sensor. So all I need is the mirror with the correct adapter cable.

A little something every chance we get.
I put in a Gentek auto dim with temp and compass and love it. I had HALF a harness in my 07, inside the cab. I did the dash to grille.
Having done a LOT more since then, getting the whole deal from a Gentek dealer, and using their harness is the way to go. Use THIER sensor, Toyota won't work if you find one.

I got my Gentex mirror yesterday and installed it. The factory Toyota plug had only three wires, ground, positive (always on), and ignition. I bought a mirror off ebay with a temp sensor. I had to run a wire from the headliner to the front grille, but all was relatively easy. FINALLY I have outside temp!
