Will tensioner alone release timing chain on left engine side?

The timing chain tensioner is located on the right engine side. There is a small window/cover that allows access without the ordeal of taking the whole timing cover off:

Will releasing the chain tensioner through this opening achiever that the chain be loosened on the left engine side as well, just enough to take the camshafts out? I am asking this because it seems to me like it wouldn't because the idler sprocket (that forms the upper V in the installed chain shape, the lower being the crankshaft) stands in between clutching the chain. Therefore, I can only see how this sneak access only helps with loosening the chain on the right but not on the left. Or does it mean that the right camshafts have to be taken off first if the left ones are to come off?

But maybe I am wrong, which is what I am hoping.

I’m not exactly sure what you’re talking about. But I have to give you credit. You’re definitely taking all precautions.

At this point, I’d be throwing it together and hoping for the best. You’ll know soon enough if it is right or not. I guess one of my faults is, that when I’m not sure and my patience has run out, I will make a decision and rolling with it.

Can you remove the left (drivers) side camshafts by just releasing the tensioner through the opening, not taking the whole timing cover off?
