I think it'd be good to update the OP with at least the known pre 2018 models, and once it gets done, 2019 to current. Maybe a mod can see it through ?

If the original user is no longer around, the mods can transfer thread ownership. They did that for me on the ECU Update thread.

Yep! I posted that from you quote earlier in this thread that I had saved. :D

I just missed the 2019 change further down in that thread.

Just as an update my brother took his truck to the shop after we took some videos of the pitch and roll gauges freaking out when his abs would fire. They were able to find a sensor of some sort in the steering wheel that was malfunctioning. However it was/is on a national parts backorder so we sit and wait to see if that is that actual problem or not.

    Any DTCs?

When the speed sensor or the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) has trouble,
DTCs for the steering angle sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly) may be stored even when the
steering angle sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly) is normal. When DTCs for the speed sensor
or yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) are output together with DTCs for the
steering angle sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly), inspect and repair the speed sensor and
yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) first, and then inspect and repair the steering
angle sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly).

Not that I am aware of, but I'm getting this info second hand.

I have yet to figure out how to keep my 20 off-road from cutting power. I've been in situations when I needed it to let loose so I could make a climb and nope, I ended up having up find a different route out. It's frustrating enough that I'm looking at getting a different rig

Have you held down the traction button while in neutral or parked while stopped?

No it’s not. There are 3 or 4 pins that are standard on all OBD connectors, then a further 3 or 5 that are standard to each different ODB protocol, the the rest are very specific to model / manufacturers, and it’s those pins that are used to reset vehicle specific stuff that’s being mentioned in this thread. The OBD was changed around 2019/2020 for the Tacoma, and also 2nd and 3rd gens. So many of the ODB reset tricks are kinda specific to a few model years.

I have. It will let you spin and get sideways etc but if I'm trying to make a decent Hill climb in the snow for example it will let it bounce off of the rev limiter for a sec and then cut the power for a few seconds, then it allows it to rev out again. It's really annoying, an "off-road" rig should not be setup like this. I'll see if I can post a video

Put it in 4lo and make sure ATRAC is not disabled. If that doesn’t do it. Engage the locker. If that doesn’t do it, send it.

If that doesn’t work, buy better tires.

My OR is like a tractor. I love it.

it has nothing to do with traction, if your truck cuts power in 4lo/4hi, locker on or off that’s a bad thing when on a long, slick climb. Ive tried what I thought was everything but I’m going to try again tomorrow and see if it changed it’s mind.

TRAC/VSC cuts power. You can turn it off. Push the traction control button once for AutoLSD and hold it 3s to live in the 80’s again.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-traction-control-modes-explained.530695/

4lo also turns of the nanny’s. Engage the locker and even the abs brakes are disabled.

Wish it were the case. It will pull power with TRAC off, in 4lo, 4hi, it doesn't matter. In deep snow is where it's the worst
