    Greetings,

I did this a while back but figured I’d post about it.

I’m sure plenty of people have done this but just wanted to add to the validity of it.
Been running with this setup for about 3 months. And just helped my buddy get the same one.

I gotta cheap set of rock lights online and tied them into my bed running lights from the left rear light panel.
I have a 21’ Tacoma so you’ve also got the switch to manually turn them on if needed while on the trail.

I did this because I also wanted lights to turn around when I opened/ unlocked my truck to see the ground around my truck. Super easy and fun install. Here’s some pics!

if you’ve got any questions feel free to ask!

the white taco is my buddies @LordOfBrussels . He did a great job of placement and I think I’ll be adding a couple.

he ended up splicing two harnesses together for a total of 12 lights. I only have 8!

This is great. Thanks for posting.

I'm a lighting noob. Do you know if there is any limit to what you can wire to that left rear panel like you did? Would be awesome to run rock lights and scene lights at the same time.

Does the access cab have the harness as well, just not hooked up? If so, I may rewire my cargo light/switch from the overhead map light console.

I would assume so. It’s just a matter of tying your lights into the right points

The harness and connector is there even though the bed lamp is missing. The wire to the bed lamp is also missing.
Difference in circuit branch is overhead tap dims to OFF, while Cargo circuit is only on/off.
