    Tires
Hey new member here with a 2016 double cab Tacoma (best truck in the universe).

My tires are offset about 1.25" and I've noticed a considerable increase of debris on the side of my truck. Where i live (ON, Canada) they pour a tone of salt on the roads and I'm trying to keep it off. Is there anyone out there with a similar concern and solution?

    I found this product:
    https://www.amazon.ca/Husky-Liners-...prefix=toyota+tacoma+mud+flaps,aps,58&sr=8-19

Tempted to try it but i have a few concerns

Also bought a roll of 3m clear plastic automotive film. the roll is 12 inches by 10ft i was going to install it on the bottom side of my doors.

I understand the best solution is just take out the tire offset but it looks and handles soo much better lol.

I run RokBlock XL flaps, love em. Been on since 2016.

These are the most cost-effective solution IMO. Remember these are trim-to-fit. The upper part doesn't need to extend that far forward. I paid way too much for RokBlokz XL. If I were to do it over again, I'd get the Husky long johns and copy RokBlokz's mounting scheme.

I went with rekgen XL flaps when they went on sale. Very cold when I put these on but I was also trying to minimize the salt as my box fenders got nailed with the stock flaps and these trd wheels. In the spring I will have to look into repainting or maybe switch to Off-road black fender flares.

    Thanks guys
That's exactly what I am looking for. I know what you mean that front bottom corner of the box gets some abuse.

I previously had a set of RekGen's on my Subaru. They did the trick, but they were so stiff. I never had it long enough to break any of them off, but I see it happening first summer with the Tacoma. I would probably need the XL RockBlokz but I'm worried they would be too big. They are not the pliable soft polyurethane versions are they? It looks like they are the same as the RekGen's with a stiff polymer. Anyone running the XL's (either set) with a 0 offset? I'll be putting them on some EAG fender flares too. Not going through another winter with this much spray. It's pretty much making it's way all the way up to the roof with my current setup, lol. But I had the hard polymer RG's on that Subaru and I wish I would have gone with the softer RB's instead. Doesn't look like they offer the same material for out Tacoma's though.

But from the two pics shared here of the XL's, the RekGens seem way too big for me. I'd love to see some more pics of the RockBlokz if anyone has them.

    Edit/
I also found these and feel like I should have gone with them instead of the OEM ones, but was unsure since I've never seen anyone run them.

That is more the material I am looking for. A softer pliable material that will bend instead of break, without being too light to flap in the wind and be useless. These ones are definitley not wide enough though.

I'm also considering just doing the redneck thing and adding some nappa style plain black rubber flaps and custom fitting them. TBH, I don't want that look AT ALL! But if it works... it works....

Heck yeah, I put truck stop flaps on my rally car; they were sweet.

I have RokBlokz and think they’re great. Adjust in and out depending on the coverage you want and flexible so they won’t get torn off by rocks.

I with the others that say RokBlokz, they have great adjustability and nice options to choose from.
