Aaaah, I've got this and it's turned on 100% of the time. I can't remember the last time I heard silence. I spend a lot of time out in the wild alone, so it's extra sad on those occasions. Even worse, my 14 year old daughter has it and it's pretty hard on her some days. I feel for her.

Have you tried noise cancelling hearing aids?

I find that if I am out surfing the waves seem to cancel out a lot of it. I also find that true when I'm out in the woods. I actually can hear things that others cannot. It's very interesting.

    A bunch of shit...
I can hear changes in constant frequency sounds that others cannot at times too. I know when the shower is hot because of the change in sound from the water through the pipes. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but its been 100% accurate.

Haven’t, never heard of them actually (no pun intended). Probably too vain for that, to be brutally honest.

My CPAP and allergy meds have helped me tremdously, only because my right eustation tube is cleared up. When I get stopped up it ramps up.

26 years military/fire service combined here. Daily nuisance, but
Coping the best I can. Looking into trying the bone conduction headphones to help. Anyone have a set they have used/prefer?

I like the idea of finding the frequency of the tinnitus and then drowning it with white noise of the same frequency. Sounds logical. Think I'm going to give this a go.

I've had it so long I kind of forget what it's like not to have it. Always have a fan on at night which helps. Motorcycles and loud music.

Match frequency then shift 180 degrees out of phase to cancel or it will just be the same pitch louder.

This developed in my left ear, in January of 2021. Been to numerous doctors that should have had their license pulled. New doctor diagnosed it as Eagle’s Syndrome. Waiting for final decision on surgery. Check your blood pressure too.

I always wonder wether to blame doctors or not, I did go on the meds willingly but they dont tell you the side effects otherwise you wouldnt take the drugs, bipolar.

I have had tinnitus for about as long as I can remember. When I was in school I used to ask other kids if they heard a hissing sound in class. I have a large bump on the back of my head from when I was a toddler, not sure if that has anything to do with it. As others mentioned, the quieter the room the louder the "hissing" sounds.
