That sucks. I bought a 2021 Sport, and it has those connectors.

For the OP, nice breakdown and installation thread.

Dude, this is perfect. Finding out that Toyota used a functioning female plug (albeit, missing the connectors) is the best part about this. I also want to do my own LED lighting under my roof top tent and the only thing that has been holding me back has been the issue of "I dont want to hard wire it, but I can", "I could just cut off that plug and use new ones, but would rather use the factory connectors", and "if I could just figure out what that plug is called so I can order the female one, I'd be set"

Hood Struts, My version Fogs always ON, Map & Overhead Light Mod,
Disconnect the wire side of the bed light connector. Remove the plug part.(attached to the metal) Remove the hole plugs in it. You have the connector now. Now you just need the correct seal and terminal to crimp onto the wires for the added lights.

I know, I'm saying, before I learned that they used the housing of the connector to terminate the connection, those were my other options that I wasn't a big fan of.
I've actually ordered all the parts I need now and plan to put together a tutorial as well.

Hello, Caribe. I'm almost going to do same thing as you did. One question, you could run the wire via OE's LED lamp hole by making a small hole there. It would be closer to the LED strip. Is there any reason you didn't want to use it with stright LED strip instead of curving it?
