There is a baffle that prevents that from happening.
I had a dealer leave my cap off, I drove it home and opened the hood..... gone, not there. I called the dealer and spoke to the service advisor, he asked me to bring back in. I politely told him that wasn't happening, you have the mechanic that forgot to put it on. Well he can just get in his car and come to me and finish his job.

You went for 2 months before noticing (understandable) and they didn't even try to defend themselves? You know that they already knew what happened hahahaha, i bet you're far from their first complaint about that same issue.

Although it is not a course of action I personally would recommend -- I must give you points for originality on that one...

I'm sitting here laughing and my wife is looking at me like I lost my mind.

I wouldn't worry you will be fine.
Just another reason not to take your vehicles to dealer for an oil change.
