    Thanks!

Was a little intimidated by the project at first but stoked on how it turned out. Even put it to a little use yesterday.

I’ve been eying it. Stoked to see you put it through its paces and hear what you think.

I was referring specifically to the bumper. You talking about the JD kit or relocation?

So far, I'm extremely happy with it. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to get any really good trips on it but stoked from what I have done. That said, I still wouldn't recommend LT for everyone so you've really got to put some thought into whether it's worth the money for your use. My rear end is going to struggle to keep up so be prepared to want to put money into a new rear setup if you go that route.

You also won't be able to use the full potential of the kit unless you go hydros up front and do some clearing on your wheel wells. So be prepared for that too. lol

Well, the truck is back in action. Still have work to do but I'm now confident enough to run trails again. After finishing the bumper and making a new skid plate, we did a shakedown run out to Anza and up Oriflamme trail. Was hoping to find some snow but instead found a few ciders & pizza at Julian Beer Co with some ice on the roads to follow.

Made a visit to "The Squeeze" mainly for the trail that takes you out.

Ran up Oriflamme after. It’s been years since I’ve ran that trail and was actually surprised. Lots of erosion made for a good time.

Found a fallen tree on the trail. No idea how long it had been there for.

We ran out to Valley of the Moon last weekend for a quick day trip. Another spot I haven't been to in awhile. Came in through the back route for the first time and was not disappointed. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pics per the usual.

    Up at Elliot Mine.

Put the truck back under the knife this weekend to continue the never ending project of chasing issues.

There's a list of things that need to be done but the primary objective is to replace the core support and add the JD inner fenders. My core support/inner fenders looked like swiss cheese and something needed to be done.

    Other mods to include:
    -adding hydro bumps
    -JD/Howe Power Steering Upgrade
-weld in the secondary shock hoops
-re-boot the CVs. Drivers is leaking and the passenger isn't far behind
-install and wire my winch and light bar

Also spent the long weekend working on modifying the front bumper. Don't want to disclose too many details but the lines no longer matched so I took the existing Pelfreybilt :cookiemonster: and started :sawzall:. It's not perfect but I'm happy with how it came out.

P.S. Don't judge my OSHA compliant footwear.

I saw your post earlier and read through the rules and then promptly ignored them. Got a spare bowl of rice?

I actually thought about that. Then realized it would require me buying a tube bender and with materials costs nowadays I really turned away from that idea.

all of the modification I have done to my Pelfreybilt has been with no material costs and scrap metal I have laying around. Just time invested really.

Shakedown run was a success! :taco:

Went up to Bear with some co-workers and friends this weekend for some camping & wheeling. The main objective was to run Gold Mt, John Bull, and Holecomb in one day.

We started on Gold early to beat traffic and one of the Jeeps we had with us began having issues pretty early. Bent wheel caused an air leak following quickly by sheared power steering box hardware. :bananadead:

A buddy headed down the mountain back to town to pick up hardware while we stayed on the trail. Put us back about two hours. Once the hardware was replaced we continued onto Little John Bull and to the gatekeeper. The gatekeeper was a zoo. SOOO MANY JEEPS.

Our group nerfed some slower vehicles out of the way and we finished JB without issue but everyone was pretty wiped by this point. Headed back to camp for an intermission.
