Me thinks guys are trying to make these truck something they aren't with all the aftermarket bs. They work perfectly fine bone stock as meant to be.

Kdmax pro tune and be done. Will completely change the truck. I wish I would have went with a tune way sooner then I did.

Who knows? I like the Sprint Booster, it works just as I want it to work. It is neither a placebo nor is it a toy. I cannot trust anyone who makes such a blatantly ludicrous statement.

These are friggin 4wd trucks! Their not race cars. I can't believe it with some wanting these trucks to be all things to all owners.

I started out with a 2000 Taco with the 3.4 v6. It had an actual throttle cable. It jumped when I wanted it to jump. (As much as it could anyways). Toyota decided to get rid of something as simple as a cable between you and the throttle and added in a computer. It's been downhill ever since. So from the second gens on up people keep trying to get that feeling back.

Edit: Maybe not downhill, but you get the drift.

They saved a couple bucks by eliminating the cable, and hardware, and probably had the prioritory computer hardware, and access to software for the fly by wire chit.

The reason to use fly-by-wire is to prevent the operator from inducing an engine condition that big bro doesn't want you to be able to do. It also has the ability for big bro to dial in throttle inputs etc... for optimum efficiency which again may or may not be what you want.
