Man, it's been awhile since I last checked in on this thread. Looks like it's coming together beautifully!

I am stalled on the build. Even though I have a T56 ready to go in and I want to convert to the fox mustang gas tank assembly and convert to the fox mustang dash and console my priorities have changed a little bit. I have a lot of work stuff going on and The Daddywagon is gonna have to wait. But I still have a lot of goals for it. It's just in a holding pattern right now.

I really appreciate that! It is an on going thing. I am envious of those who have the means to get these builds done in a relatively short period of time. For me it just keeps on going. Choosing to build a wagon isn't like building a fox mustang. You can find a fox mustang built close to your personal tastes and refine it, but a wagon build isn't quite as popular.

A coworker of mine built something along those lines with an ex-patrol car. He used a Donk kit put bullet holes in the fenders, etc. It's pretty radical.

The goals for the Daddywagon can be summed up in 2 letters... SS! If you look up Chevy SS with a manual transmission you will find the car that the Daddywagon should compare with when I am done with it. I just bought a Chevy SS. Daddysedan?

This is an Australian built sedan made by Holden. In Australia it is called the Holden Commodore. In the USA GM called it the Chevrolet SS. It was imported from 2014 to 2017. Prior to this GM imported it as the Pontiac G8. My car is a 2017 SS in Phantom Black Metallic with a 6.2L LS3 engine and a Tremec 6 speed manual transmission. I just purchased it used. I really like it and it sets the bar for the Daddywagon.

How hard would it be to do a Holden hood swap and rebadge? Turn it into an actual Holden. Freak out all the Chevy people.

It's common. Those in the know are aware. Because there was NO marketing for this car, when it has Chevy badges on it even Chevy guys are like, "What is that?". When it has Holden badges, most people are like, "What is that?" I work with automotive techs and car guys in general... I'd say it was a 60-40 split between those who knew about the car and those who had no idea.
