    Hey Guys,

I just rolled into Buckeye, AZ last night from Ohio. I developed a massive squeak somewhere in the front suspension during the 1800mi road trip. I have the Icon stage 3 kit that is prob due for all new bushings.

Anyway, can someone recommend a shop out on the west side of Phoenix to fix my issues?

let us know what it turns out to be the cause... I've developed a squeak too, haven't tracked it down yet.

does it sound like its coming from the rear? could be the rear leaf pack being full of dirt and causing it to squeak and creak when it is flexing.

No it’s definitely coming from the front. It grinds/squeaks from lock to lock while turning the steering wheel and pretty much over every bump in the road. I’ve been in and out of the bed multiple times this week and not a peep from the leafs.

Honestly, they’ve always had a little squeak here and there. The occasional lube seemed to help over the years but now it literally turns heads in the parking lot when I drive around. It works great for embarrassing my kids in front of their school though :D

TC! I had those on my xterra. Super squeaky, but TC recommended a line that's used on mountain bike chains, and that worked. Cant remember the name though.

Funny though, my second set of uniballs never had the issue.

Ya I have that stuff and it works really well but this squeak is a whole new ball game. It sounds like the titanic sinking!

    How old is the suspension?

Coming from ohio, cpuld be a number of things, broken spring comes to mind too. Unfortunately, ohio winters eat cars.

Ya I cringed every time I drove down a salty road. Glad I’m in AZ now. I think it is prob the LBJ. The squeak is the worst while turning the wheel.

Just turning the wheel causing a squeak is def not the upper control arms. The only solution Ive ever found for squeaky poly UCA bushings in aftermarket UCAs is Prothane Supergrease. Its literally the only grease that will stop UCA squeak. Naturally its $50 a tube! :frusty:
