Maybe you guys can help me with this. I have a STOCK 2021 TACOMA TRD OFFROAD, I planning to run SCS RAY 10 17s. 285/70 with -10 offset WITH BFG KO2. What do I need to for NO rubbing? I have been seeing a lot of people saying you ONLY need CMC and it will clear. Some say you need 3inch lift with only and it will clear (which I doubt). Some also mention that you need BOTH. So can someone with experience tell which way I can clear 285/70/17 -10mm on my stock Tacoma.

If I were you, I’d do all of it. I have the same wheels and rims, I have a CMC, and run Icon stage 9. Approximately a 3” lift, maybe a little more. I also have done the pinch weld, and cut a bit of plastic away on the inside of the wheel wells. After a lot of finesse, I no longer get any rubbing. Except when I hit a dip into a driveway on an angle at good speed lol

I have a 2 inch lift, cmc and plastic trimming and aftermarket UCAs, Icons. Same wheels and tires as you.
It works awesome, no rubbing and I have flexed it hard out in the bush. You don't need a huge lift, the shocks are going to cycle through their whole travel if you offroad. The plastic trimming isn't that big deal, don't go crazy right away, see where you are rubbing and get out the dremel or utility knife.
285s look awesome but they aren't big tires compared to what stock jeeps can run.

G'day, I have 2021 TRD OR. Would suggest going with the TRD factory lift, that's what I have and just put on BFG KO2 285/70r17 on it; no rubbing. The TRD lift doesn't effect your warranty and no diff drop or UPC alt. Will post pic's.

They don’t make it easy on new trucks. Lift is never a bad idea. And if you don’t have the wheels already GOOD LUCK getting them (pick another brand asap)

    Hello all:
    I’m in a similar position.
I have a 2” lift all around my 20 OR. I’m running 285/70-17 GDY Duratrac/17x8.5 BR 0 offset wheel (4.75 back space). Generally no issues.

However I want to know if I can run a -12mm RRW (4.25 back space)?

    I have SPC Adjustable UCA’s but no CMC. I don’t want a CMC…
    All help is appreciated!

max out the lca all the way forward, find where your tires will clear at the E,F, or G position (E or F will probably do) on your SPC, tell your alignment tech not to touch the lower cams and only adjust camber using the SPC adjustment.

I have the same wheels and tires with no lift and no rub. The details are in my build thread but cmc and pinch weld along with some plastic has to go
