Yup, I need more outlets run on the ceiling of my garage..bought LED plug in fixtures. Fortunately my friend is an electrician, he's wired my house one room at a time.

Also, what did you decide on garage door insulation?

 

Thanks for the information. It's a great, cheaper alternative than $100+ kit and all the work to get the stock ones off and installed.

If anything, for the garage, I'll just get a DIY kit probably and do that. Only concern is weight going that route.

Still somewhat undecided.

 

I have them and have not reinforced anything as they lock it in to a point where unless your stock tabs are completely mangled that it’s not going anywhere. I like them a lot though and haven’t touched caster since install. I have them set to max.

 

Why not put those tab things towards the top?

 

Yeah I have the taco tabs ready to install but I was wondering about the video of him reinforcing the tabs with key stock. Seems like a great, cost effective option.

 

I actually watched this the other day at work. I guess key stock could work, but so would a fat weld bead behind the stock tabs?

 

It’s just how the manufacture recommended putting them so I followed it.

 

Just received an email from Tire rack that my grabbers are, now, delayed until April.

Fantastic. They were originally supposed to ship out starting this week.

I love my taco tabs, but I would def keystock reinforce or run a fat bead behind the tabs if I had the means. If you wheel mildly-hard, they will shunt your tabs out and make some wiggle room.

 

I would gladly pay for taco tabs

Tire issue resolved.

Found another tire company with the tires in stock and free, 2 day delivery. Placed the order. Confirmed.

Cancelled my order with tire rack. Confirmed.

Now, if the wheel company would release their wheels, it would be a great week.

 

Like clockwork. Mondays fucking suck.

Received an email that my ATX tire order is now CANCELLED. To put it into perspective, the tires were scheduled for delivery TODAY. I was a very happy geekhouse.

Called the company and they said there was an issue with the inventory of the facility that the tires were supposed to ship from.

K. Not my problem. You said there were 12+ in stock when I called the day I placed my order. And I called 3 times to confirm because I knew something would happen.

Basically, but the end of the call, at no additional charge to me, I'm now getting some X3's. And, they claim they will be delivered in 4 days.

If this doesn't go through, I give up.

Fuck "everything going on right now".

 

4 days doesn't put you on monday again, so thats good. Hope it all goes well!! I might do tires in the spring but partially scared

 

Yeah, but you have to account for FedEx fucking up literally their only job, and adding a few extra days.

 

Fedex is the worst.

 

Place your order now. Tire rack moves from mid January to April. That's about all the duratracs have left in them.
