    FYI!

I recently pumped at Costco Milpitas (1709 Automation Pkwy, San Jose, CA 95131) and there 87 octane pumps are disabled, thus only 91 is offered. They price adjusted 91 matching 87 for our convenience which is only $4.15 instead normal $4.60 (I might be wrong).

Good timing if you want to fill the taco with extra spicy sauce instead of mild sauce, or if you have a sports car requiring 91.

Don’t know how long this will last, but I wanted to share with you all to help save some coins.

    Happy Holidays and Cheers!

91 is less spicy than 87

I think $4.15 even for 87 is a killer price. I don't think I have seen that for months. Right now everywhere I pump it is at minimum $4.89.

It’s good customer service by Costco to lower the price of high octane under the circumstances. But keep in mind unless your owners manual calls for 91 octane and your engine is built and designed for high octane you will not get more power, more speed or higher gas mileage. In ordinary circumstances you will pay more for high octane and get no performance improvement. But thanks for letting us know. For those engines built for high octane that is a good price.

91 octane is generally a waste.

The costco app gives you a map of locations and their gas prices, links it to your navigation, also allows you to display only diesel stations.

I generally avoid Karen Mart, but for gas and tire stuff for anyone who leaves their neighborhood, it's invaluable. Until about 9pm anyway.

Most Costco stations I've been to won't take the costco card on my phone (their app.) But an employe will just void that. I say that because it means you can probably go if you're not a member. Just tell them you don't have the physical card, just the app and they're likely to just scan their card and let you pump.
