A quick note - I upgraded from KDMax 7.0 to Pro, and the throttle response and shifting logic are as big an improvement from 7 to Pro as it was from the original OVTune 2.0 to the original KDMax tune. Smooth shifts, reasonable shift timing, much more linear throttle response. I'm on Lite, running 89 or 92 depending on how cheap I feel, and I think it's perfect. Even mileage seems to have gone up modestly (about 1mpg, from ~15 to ~16 ... I'm tall and heavy).

Only thing I've noticed is that the ACIS shudder between 2000 and 3000 rpm is somewhat more pronounced than it used to be, but that's a minor annoyance. That notwithstanding, the upgrade is well worth the $75, IMO.

So tomorrow is the day for my kdmax pro tune! Super excited. I know I asked this before, but throwing it out one more time. Normal or sport throttle? Is this true about the ect button? Normal throttle responses similar to sport on ect?

To help compare, has anyone run a Sprint booster before the tune? Currently running near the top of the green which is about half of what it is capable of.

I do drive in the snow as much as possible, and tow a 3000lb. Trailer often. Thanks for any advice.

    So excited!

I would ask tuner to try normal tune go for a test drive and then flash sport test drive and see what you like.

Towed my zero turn and trailer today in s5 with the normal throttle. Tow weight around 2k. Couldn’t even tell it was there and stayed locked in 5th on the highway. Freaking love this tune!

    start with normal.
    Always run ECT when towing.
I tow 4,000lbs often during the summer.
If you run gears, I like 75W-110

I really appreciate the comment. Thank you. Just stock gearing at this point. The countdown has begun! Only 8 hours left until tune!

Would you be so kind as to pm me Scott's contact info? He flashed my truck with the Max6 tune about a year ago and I have since made changes that require a touch up. Thanks in advance!

Truck is tuned! Drove around for about 40 miles after. A mix of city and highway. Things are going great so far. Ended up going with sport throttle and glad I did.

Holds gears so much better. I can even use cruise control! Cruise control in this truck has driven me crazy since day one. It still kicked down to 4th on a couple of the longer hills, but it did so smoothly, and in a manner that didn't feel like I was asking it to do something it didn't want to!

So awesome. Can't wait to take it out again tomorrow! Super pumped.

Thanks again @Toy_taco_trd for working with me all the way upta Maine!

Congrats! I’m doing my this weekend. Did you try the “normal”? what was your take on the difference between the two?

Never tried normal throttle. Sean recommended trying sport first. I didn't see the need to go down. Was not jumpy in my opinion.

I think I'm really going to enjoy it. I need to get out there and burn some fuel. Gotta get a couple tanks through it, so I can hook up a trailer and give that a test. Btw, I know it's probably too early to tell, but I'm pretty sure mpg has already improved.
