fuck it,here goes,
so, i left home round10:30 to go to the property, that i hunt on. im going to retrieve, my utility trailer, 4wheeler, and the skirts-n-cushions in my 2 stands, 15 minutes from home, i realize that, i forgot my spare for the trailer, ok, i can deal with that. get there and fire up my frozen wheeler, starts rite up (ethanol free) hook the trailer up to my driveway princess/tow pig, grab the ramps, and realize, uh-oh, no trailer tag. i had left my trailer at my buddies house, another 1/2 hour away, but he drug it over to the property, as he had a repair to make on one of the delivery vans. (i hunt on property owned by a seafood distributor}, @Cooldood he says, that he knew the tag was on there when he left. called his son, who walked down the driveway, to see if it was layin round, no luck. ok no problem rite, well the trailer registration, is in my DD at home, as i used that, back in September to drag my shit down there. so no registration, no tag. well i aint a dummy, so i call the Sheriff at home, and she reads the vin and such off the title, ask her to take a pic, and send it to me, @My Name is Rahl, welp the potatoe phone pic, is smaller than yer pinky finger nail, fuck it, off i go, rollin down the highway, a bout 6 mph over, get wacked by Laser (its ok my radar detector picked it up), so i think, damn, he gone git me. i then realize, he is to busy lookin at the traffic behind me to look at my trailer, challenge conquered. 4 miles further, a local county sheriff, pulls outta the state police barracks heading my way..i think dammit, he gone pop me when he gets up to me, nope, gets off on the next exit.so im rollin on, bout 8miles from home, busy highway, when i look in my rearview, and there is a county cop right behind me..shit...imma busted, so i pull out of the hammer lane, and he rolls right on by {too cold mebbe?}, nope, turns off the highway where the county barracks are, end of shift? so i make it home, offload the wheeler into the toasty {59 degrees} shed, turn round and look at the back of @FishnTx new to hims boat, and there is the boat trailer tag, laying on the gravel....note to self, and others, when using wire ties, to secure yer tag, replace em before they break...

My trailer is sitting up against the fence. I have a Kendon trailer, it kind of stands up when you store it. As such, the damned tag is always scraping the ground when I put it away after use. I lost one once due to a shredded zip tie.

 

Stephen King, John Grisham.....they both suck compared to this gem.
