Just noticed when I pulled into my driveway and parked that my truck started jerking a bit and truck began slightly sputtering and shaking. Not bad but definitely noticeable. Truck has 160,000 miles on it. I was going to park it and wait to drive it until I change the spark plugs. Would it be worth it to change the ignition coils? I really don’t want to ruin anything internally in the truck. No check engine light either. Please help!

Also I am going to recharge my k&n air intake filter and clean the throttle body while I’m in there

Change spark plugs and clean your maf. The k&n air filter oil can get on the maf and cause issues. Or it can let dirt through and the maf gets dirty.

No need to change the ignition coils "just because", if you have a bad one change it no need to change them all.
Main thing to look for is oil in the plug tubes (this indicates valve cover gaskets are leaking), you may want to replace the coil boots depending on their condition.
Denso OE# plugs are recommended, K20HR-U11 for the 1GR-FE 4.0L V6 (non supercharged) (30K mi recommended change interval), SK20HR11 for the 2TR-FE 2.7L 4cyl (100k mi recommended change interval).

I appreciate the response. Thank you. I’ll take a look at them when I replace the spark plugs

I will also note that when you clean the throttle body you may want to unhook the battery for a few min then reconnect it and let it idle for awhile to relearn it's base idle or you may have high idle issues until it relearns on it's own.

    Reserected from the dead.
    I'd start simple.

Check to make sure the battery post are clean and free of corrosion.

A poor connection will cause all sorts of issues with the truck.

The battery post clamps on our trucks are a know weak link.

I've been thru this 3 times in 20 years. ( Yet Toyota still uses these shitty battery post clamps)

Spark plugs are recommended at 30k miles so if they’re due, change them.

I think you should try cleaning the maf sensor first, that might solve the problem. Look in the stickies, follow the instructions to the letter, no short cuts or I’ll use this stuff instead of the Crc maf sensor cleaner.
