    I've had the same helmet since like 2005, it's worn in like an old pair of boots. Covered in scratches and tree sap from ducking tree limbs. It's the oldest piece of gear I have and I'm super proud of it.

    If you're thinking about buying one my advice is spend a little more and get a nice one. If it's bulky and uncomfortable you won't want to wear it and you'll leave it in the truck. Mine is carbon fiber and super lightweight. I put it on and practically forget I'm wearing it. I also might recommend some wrist guards if you're still learning. I've seen lots of newbies catch those edges and fall hard on wrists and hands
