That is great to know. If ever in a bind it'd be just fine to hit up Orielly for injectors. I've been in plenty of binds. Good to know

Plus I didn't realize the Vatozone website would have a pic of the actual part. So that's cool. And the reman I'd avoid but the new ones are all Aisin there in pics of each of the websites. So all the parts stores do sell the Aisin injector. It's because they don't have a cheaper option to be supplied with to be able to offer. Cool, good info man:D

Motor west did a great job, one week turn around for 130.00 with shipping and the old parts.
Now just cross my fingers nothing will be leaking after it’s all back together.

They actually were not in that bad a shape

I am going to be getting my 2.7L injectors cleaned soon as I am pretty sure one(or more) is leaking down. I have all the symptoms. I am likely going to send mine in as you did.

Warning, I am stepping up on my soapbox, not aimed at you, just at part suppliers/service companies.

One thing that irritates me about even a respectable company like Motorwest: they don't show any target info for the technical data. You can see the rebuild had an effect on the performance, but you still don't know if they meet factory spec, and by how much.

I looked at 3.4L in both 1996 and 2000 FSMs( I don't have 1997). Both have exact same targets in the "Test" sections for injectors: resistance 13.8 ohms; dynamic flow 56-69 cubic cm. A company that specializes in injector rebuilds should get OEM specs and be able to tell us whether the performance meets the original design intent or not. Geez, but a target line on the graphs, tell us if the results are within the +- range as set by designer, allowable range, etc. Something to let us know we are back to within spec and by how much. I don't want to go to all that work just to put an injector back in if it is only 5% above a minimum of some sort.

    :annoyed:

Okay, I feel better now. Again, rant not aimed at you.

I hope all goes well on your re-assemble process and no issues. You have an awesome truck!

Thanks for input, I wasn’t having an injector issue and your correct, they should have the OEM info.

I was doing the valve cover gaskets and figured it would be a good time for a cleaning, replacement of filters, old rubber parts

Very valid point. Most hobbyists are like uhh whatever. But what about a performance builder or racer? They have to have that info for those customers right?
For that price and me to reuse the same coils and electrics part of the injector, I want a graph and I want data. I hear you. Check Witch Hunter. I'm pretty sure that's who the Cruiser guys used back in day
I think I remember a company that does injector servicing that did plot and graph those specs and results. It was like 10 years ago but I think it was Witch Hunter. I think.

I always have mine cleaned by RC Fuel Injection (been using those guys for over almost 20 years now) - it's about $20-25 per injector and usually a 2-3 day turnaround.

I did send them an email about what the OEM specs were in comparison to what the final test was.

They responded that the test after the cleaning was exactly same as the OEM numbers.

I think the trick with ordering from Amazon is to make sure the seller and shipper is Amazon

    On Amazon
The FJ793 Standard Motor Product (listed as genuine Intermotor) for 2003-2004 are Made in Japan

The FJ793 Beck Arnleys don't show the origin and they don't have the part number or testing lot printed on the one side

I got my new set of Intermotor injectors. 3 out of 4 are Made in the USA and are lighter in color and weight, and they have obvious differences from 1 OE Injector from Japan they sent me. Even the spray pattern holes are different. They just feel and look cheaper. Bummer

Any thoughts on Ultra Power FJ787 versus Standard Motor Products (intermotor?) FJ787? Are they the same thing? This is for a 1GRFE 4.0 application.

I've seen cases where Ultra Power or (budget brand) would use a picture of a well-known part like 555 ball joints. Then when you get the product it turns out to be something different. The part numbers being the same may indicate its the same product. Maybe it is the same product with an older lot date and needs to be rotated off the shelf. Something like an expiration date on some items at the grocery store. I recall a discussion on another forum where injectors do have a shelf life. It may be the preservative that is used to keep the injector blades fresh.

It looks like all three products are the same injector. Beck has been known to be the same as SMP but without o-rings that need to be purchased separately. That never made sense to have two products from the same company.

Roughly 11 years ago, SMP built injectors that were some of the best that money could buy from being flow matched-- and they were expensive. A club that I know got a set and sent them off to Deatschwerks in OKC for testing to prove a point. it turned out the flow was exceptionally close.

My only reservation would be that if you get the product and it turns out that you don't like it, then returning it to Rock is not as easy as say Amazon where you get a full refund.

In a few months, I would like to buy 8 new injectors for a 2UZFE. So at $80+ dollars a pop, that will turn close to $700 with tax and shipping.

You might get lucky and find the Ultras are the original Densos that have been on the shelf for a while. If you have the time and $$ to deal with a return if you are not happy, it might be worth a try.
